One fat guy - goes to a popular GYM in Bangalore sees an ad for a newgym guaranteeing to reduce anyone's weight by 5, 10 or 20 kilograms onthe first day. So he goes and tells them he wants to lose 5 kg. Theylead him into a huge gym with all kinds of ropes and parallel bars andladders and tell him to wait a minute. He's standing there when on the far side of the gym a door opens and out steps a beautiful girl, with a sign saying "If you catch me, I'm yours."He starts running, and just as he gets close, she starts picking up speed. Before he knows it, he's running all over the gym, up the ladders, down the ladders, across the parallel bars, her   ...

The complexity of the IIT-JEE arises from the fact that the questions are always unique in their context, and solving them often requires a combination of concepts from across different chapters. Nonetheless, some basic data analysis can be quite revealing and could give some important insights into how one should go about preparing for each subject. Such analyses form the basis of our understanding of the JEE. The section-wise breakup of marks in the past four years (2004-2008) JEE Screening has been given below for your reference.PHYSICS 'Electrostatics and Current Electricity', and 'Electromagnetism'-each of these topics has contributed abou   ...

I have often been confused about the fact that how can incresing the voltage reduce the power loss in transmission cables. The books mention what happens but never tell the reason. I figured out why stepping up the voltage reduces the power loss. First and foremost we need to know that whether we transmit at a lower or higher voltage, the power transmitted remains constant.                                  ie P=V*I is constant. Here P is the power, I is the current and V is the voltage. From this rel   ...

Coordination Chemistry Coordination chemistry is the study of compounds formed between metal ions and other neutral or negatively charged molecules such as [Co(NH2CH2CH2NH2)2ClNH3]2+ Cl22-. In this formulation, Co(NH2CH2CH2NH2)2ClNH3]2+ is known as a metal complex, which is a charged species consisting of metal ion bonded to one or more groups of molecules. The bonded molecules are called ligand. The little picture shown here depicts a structure of a 6-coordinated complex.A common metal complex is Ag(NH3)2+, formed when Ag+ ions are mixed with neutral ammonia molecules. Ag+ + 2 NH3 -> Ag(NH3)2+ A complex Ag(S2O3)23- is formed between silver ions and negative thio   ...

Now that it may seem we are living a life of examinations ,its actually examinations of life that we are taking, one after the other.Life's a house of cards and these are its building blocks. If a single one goes out of its place, the entire house crumbles to the ground-our dreams are smashed to dust... But everything can't be straight at a time,we need to put them straight.Only dreaming high won't help,we need to fight till the end to turn it into a reality(if not acieve it,try to go close to ur dreams)... There's nothing called Destiny, nothing called Luck, nothing called Fate----all depends on a single but strong word HARDWORK; Time come   ...

JEE is an exam which requires a high level of perfection in all respects - particularly in memory, logic, speed, and quantitaive analysis. Such perfection requires constant practice. Here, I would like to provide tips which may help my friends clear this exam.Disclaimer: Though I have got a good rank of 96, my beginning (from X) was pretty ordinary - so I expect this guide to help the majority of students. Also, since I'm not a qualified instructor, I can only give my personal point of view.Books:Maths - Any good book will do, just as long as it has thousands of problems (I'm serious). But here are some of the books I know and have used:NCERT, Tata McGraw Hi   ...      [ 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 ]

I did my Tele Communication engineering from BabanRao Dhole-Patil Institute of Technology.  Interviewer : BabanRao Dhole-Patil Institute of Technology? I had never heard of this college before!   Candidate: Great! Even I had not heard of it before getting an admission into it . What happened is - due to cricket world cup I scored badly! in 12th.I was getting a paid seat in a good college. But my father said (I prefer to call him 'baap') - "I can not invest so much of money".(The baap actually said - "I will never waste so much of money on you"). So I had to join this college. F   ...

Resonance Resonance Kekulé structural formulas are essential tools for understanding organic chemistry. However, the structures of some compounds and ions cannot be represented by a single formula. For example, sulfur dioxide (SO2) and nitric acid (HNO3) may each be described by two equivalent formulas (equations 1 & 2). For clarity the two ambiguous bonds to oxygen are given different colors in these formulas. 1)  sulfur dioxide   2)  nitric acid   If only one formula for sulfur dioxide was correct and accurate, then the double bond to oxygen would be shorter and stronger than the single bond. Since experimental evidence indi   ...
