In case of satellite motion as L =mvr =constant , so "v " is proportional to 1/ r , while according to orbital velocity v = (GM/r) , so "v " is proportional to 1 /(r)^1/2 ..it means these results are contradictory or not ? plz clear it ..

In case of satellite motion
L = mvr = constant
But v itself depends on r and thus should be expressed as
v = wr
where w = angular velocity (which is independent of r)
Thus L = mw^2 r
