there is something strange about the data in the problem.

the minimum force required from the right hand side to move block 1 is (mew x m1 x g) i.e 3 newton; but force generated in the vertical spring when block 2 has moved by 20cm is only k x 0.2 = 0.2 newton; this force cannot move block 1 while the data says that it has moved by 10cm. There is a contradiction.....
