Assertion: The reaction N₂(g) + 3H₂(g) ------>2NH3(g) is exothermic.

Reason: A reaction will occur if it is spontaneous.

2nd statement is correct. now deltaG= deltaH-T deltaS .for reaction to be spontaneous delta H must be negative as delta S is negative so that delta G remains negative.....
