wimax broadband wi fi
WiMAX is new-fangled wireless broadband technology, which proposed to transfigure the whole broadband diligence. The expertise will smooth the progress of high speed broadband internet access to conjugal as well as shared users. In contrast to other local area technologies, which operate within a small area, WiMAX will cover wide urban and rural regions. Moreover, it will provide quick internet access to the places which are difficult to wire by the cellular providers.
Need of WiMAX:
WiMAX is the supreme technique to expand internet services to different parts of the country. This is achievable because WiMAX excels signals over numerous other channels, which are less muddled than Wi-Fi. As a result, the signals broadcast by WiMAX are less leveled to interference and can travel up to a distance of 30 miles. Moreover, its network connectivity in metropolitan areas extends up to 75 Mbps, with applications including last-mile broadband connections, hotspot and cellular back-haul, and high-speed enterprise connectivity for businesses.
Being a developing country, India does not have a much proper telecom infrastructure at all the places. In far-flung areas the connections are mainly through copper cables, DSL and fiber optic, which is a costly event; as the roads are dug to lay the cables. However, the installation cost can be considerably cut down via wireless connections. This brings WiMAX in the depiction, which doles out as a profitable alternative for the same.
Various drivers to WiMAX such as performance, coverage etc. are pushing the implementation of this technology. WiMAX in India is seen as a wireless fixed line replacement or as a substitute for DSL/cable service. It is now operational from Metamax, Pronto Networks, Reliance Group, and Sify in the 3.3G and 5.8G Hz bands. There will be more to come next year after the long delayed mart.
After looking towards so many advantages of WiMAX technology, we can say that it is going to change the old trends of Internet accessing but still there is a question in everyone’s mind or I can simply ask you that Do you believe mobile WiMAX will be successful in India?
I think yes because In India, Mobile wireless technology (GSM/CDMA/WiMAX/LTE) majorly used for Voice. As the WiMAX needs line of sight and it is very difficult in Indian Roads / Towns/ Villages especially for mobile WiMAX. Installing to many WiMAX hopes is expensive but not impossible.
