The Ministry of HRD has directed the Joint Admission Board, the highest decision making body in respect of conducting Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), that admissions to 3 new IITs coming up in the states of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad, Bihar at Patna and in Rajsathan for the academic session 2008-09 be made through JEE 2008. In each of these new Institutes admission shall be made to three undergraduate programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering with an intake of 40 seats each. The reservation of seats as applicable to Central Educational Institutes shall be implemented. More information on this matter shall be made available in the Counselling Brochure of JEE 2008 and shall also be displayed on the JEE websites.
