i told u that vit does take admission through management quota ........u r write vit does nt get any huge funding as nits do.....so it has to take the help of management quota.....any private institute does that...manipal and even bits...the only diff is that bits takes through management only for bits dubai batch........so private ones have to get there funds some how.......but u should also note that only receiving funds isnt enough....implemnting it is important.....you r speaking as if vit s staff take away all the money into there pockets.......look at each every thing the hostells the mess food etc...every thing is quite good over here

and wo told you that only iits get more funding than nit.....dce , iiits,jadavpur engineering college, sibpur engineering college,NSIT all receive fundings way more than any ordinary nit except warangal trichy and suratkal.......

 and regarding google earth ...oh my dear i cannot believe you got to that extent.....do you know it even shows my filthy little primary school that i studied in when i was in khambhat(GUJRAT) the trick is any person can go and register the place on the map......

you say u have spent one yr in nit jaipur.....if you had stayed one year in vit you would not have been saying the same thing......

and about THE REAL THING i told u that ichose vit over nit durgapur because of the REAL THING.....and my elder brother used to study there ....so i know......

OK I admit it i have never seen such adds......but yes i have heard abt it from my college mates only....yes t is probaly true whatever u r claiming ....and i have told in my earlier post that if there is one shameful thing about vit then it is about its large no of seats in mangement quota........abt 400 of the 2000 people are from management quota.....and i have allready accepted it in my earlier posts........and there lies the scope of improvement for vit...i cannot defend this as this a hardcore truth....

I will tell you WHY VIT SUCKS!!



* They boast of a huge infrastructure but is it possible for any infrastructure to support 15,000+ students. The campus is barely 200 acres. And the campus , everytime feels like a fish market. A small dingy classroom with 120+ students imagine!! An year of a department with 300+ students!!!



* Most of the student crowd is very dodgy, I mean nearly 50-60 % of the students are from management quota and rest are the students who score no so high in VITEEE entrance exam. Frankly, I know people there who say sqrt(-4) = -2! and (a-b)^2  = a^2 - b^2!!



* if students are bad, then faculty is even worse, the lecturer who teaches advanced programming doesnt even know what does strcmp() mean ( a very basic function in C). Plagiarizing student's ideas by the faculty for their own means is rampant there.



* Academics sucks.. there is no concept of research. You will hv to go for a lot of trouble if applying for higher studies. Still follow some syllabus copied from VTU Karnataka, BITS



* Now dont let me start abt the administration -

       Charge you 500 bucks for breaking a test tube,

       They abuse you, shove you, even manhandle you.

       No concept of student union ( a puppet student council does exist)

       Do all the ghapla in the accounting and eat up your money in one way or the other.

       Rules such as

             -Gals hv a strict intime of 5 pm, no camera phones,

             -Create new irrelevant rules almost instantly to harrass you(as they are now a University) and force it upon students. (A rule like if you are unable to write an exam due to illness or some emergency then if you                 give it later, you are termed as an arrear student and are denied all previleges from attending conferences, receiving scholarships).

             -They sometime deliberately fail you to extort more money from you.



I think these all points sums it up.. Any self respecting, career conscious kid will suffer gravely after going there.

Dude correct your information NIT trichy or warangal gets the same sum of money as any other nit .AND dude DCE , NSIT are under the delhi university and entire DU gets a  funding of 53 crores from MHRD whihc has to be distributed among all the colleges under DU which includes all the commerse colleges and science collegs and dce and NSIT and A single NIT alone gets 33 crores from MHRD besides other funding from World bank and other Commites like UGC and all the NITs get the same amount..

and the 33 crore funding of nit was before the NIT act 2007 . After this act the funding is to be incresed but its still not clear by what amount...

first lie there are not 15000 students in the campus.....how can there be 15000 student do find any sence in that statement.....do you even know what a mass of 15000 student means......there are approx 2000 students....maybe a little more than that...if you conside mtech

second pt that he mentioned ...i  cannot really claim if it was a lie...it would be wrong to do so he may have come across such dumb students.....because usually the students coming through management quota r quite dumb........but telling most of the students are like that.....oh that part is abig fat lie

the third part also does not give the correct picture....first of comparing to other branche cse has the worst faculty.....but in that department also some are really good and very helpful ..but yes they r in minority....but that is not he case with mech, ece eee etc.....the faculty in those department are very much upto the mark......and mechanical is a dream branch in vit in terms of faculty..

he himself says that vits syllabus is copied from bits......so you have then the syllabus must be good.

yes the 4 part is absolutely true.......the academics is good but research.....yes not upto the mark..

fifth pt....tell me are u supposed to join a college on the basis of what would happen if you break a test tube......I cant believe he actually had the guts to write that line......

yes the rules are strict...and if a persons prioritis are whether the rules of a college are strict or not .....then i dont think the person deserves to even get proper educatio.....trust me his post indicates that he has all the wrong priorites in life.....if he had been in iit i thin the very same post would have been here on this blog.... the onli thing is that  people would have rubbished him of in that case....but since this is vit ...a doubt was bound to be created.....it is sad that he belongs to vit.......see i told you...400 out of 2000 students are useless in vit.....

IT IS YOU WHO IS FORCING UPON THE FACTS......THE FACT IS that aperson with an air of 25k can get nit but not iiit.....the fact is people take drop rather than studying in nit durgapur,nit silchar,patna,etc.....the fact is people who do get a not so good rank in iit join iiits, dce, bits and top three nits......the list ends there..... the fact is jadavpur eng coll, sibpur, dce etc are wau above the nits except top three of course.......the fact cannot be forced upon.......the fact is that studying in nit is prestigeous......but it is definetely not after iits....many other come in between.....and vit is one of them.....do not trust india today rankings....look at outlook rankings....look at success cds rankings are all of them false......
