When 2 perpendicular lines are given in any question try solving it by taking them as axes, sometimes it becomes simpler to solve. When the options given for a seires is a function of n then try it by giving smallest possible value of n. If two or more options are correct for this n then try another higher value of n. In coordinate geometry please make a figure as a single figure has 1000 words associted with it. If the options are cyclic (e.g. it contains 3 variables a,b,c and options remain the same if we replace a by b, b by c, c by a) then take a=b=c and give it a try. (only if there is no relation between a,b,c in the question)

This is one of the easier method to find the equivalent Resistance. Consider a traingle ABC with resistors of resistance R on sides,AB,BC,AC.So there are 3 resistors. The forumula to find the Eq.R is (3-1)R/3. So consider a polygon of sides N with resistor of resistance R on each side. The gen.Formula is: EQ.R = (N-1)R/N.

1.Area of triangle formed by ax2+2hxy+by2=0,lx+my+n=0 is n2(h2-ab)1/2 ----------------- am2-2hlm+bl2 2.If y=mx+c and eqn of circle is x2+y2=a2 then line will touch the circle if c2=a2(1+m2) and pt of contact is (-mc/1+m2,c/1+m2) 3.Line lx+my+n=0 will touch the circle x2+y2+2gx+2fy+c=0 if (lg+mf-n)2=(l2+m2)(g2+f2-c) 4.If r1-r2>d....One circle is completely inside the other... 5.If r1-r2=d...Two circles touch each other internally 6.If r1-r2<d<r1+r2.....Two circles intersect at two distinct points. 7.If r1+r2=d.....Two circles touch each other externally 8.If r1+r2<d.....Two circles lie far away from each other... Here,r1 and r2 r radius of the two circles...and d is the distance between their centres.. Hope these tricks helps u....will be postin more.....!!!

Acid and Base- There are three concepts of acids and bases- 1. Arrhenius Concept- According to this concept, an acid is a compound that releases H+ ions in water ; and a base is a compound that releases OH- ions in water. For example, HCl is an Arrhenius acid and NaOH is an Arrhenius base. HCl H+ + Cl- NaOH Na+ + OH- 2. Bronared- Lowry concept- According to this, an acid is any molecule or ion that can donate a proton (H+ ) and a base is any molecule or ion that can accept a proton. eg, HCl and NH3. HCl gas reacts with ammonia to form solid NH4Cl. H .. I H-N-H + H-Cl [H-N-H]+ + Cl- I I H H HCl is a proton donor and hence a Bronsted acid, while NH3 is a proton acceptor and a Bronsted base. 3. Lewis Concept- According to this, an acid is an electron-pair acceptor and a base is an electron-pair donor. eg, betwen H + and NH3, proton (H+ ) is a Lewis acid as it can accept an electron pair. Ammonia molecule has an electron pair which it can donate and is a Lewis base. The Lewis reaction between H+ and NH3 can be writen as- H .. I H+ + H-N-H [H-N-H]+ Lewis I I Complex acid H H Lewis base

Hey chack this out- If you want to find the greatest term in the expansion of (x+y)n - Let A=(n+1)y/(x+y) Remember to put only the modulus or positive values of x,y in the formula for A If A is an integer, r = A, A+1 If A not an integer, r is an integer just before A. Eg- if A=25.3, r = 25. This value of r is for greatest term. Then use the general formula of finding term Tr+1 = nCr xn-ryr Hope this proves to be useful.
