see itf ur interested in a particualr branch go for dat....both r equally gud options..oder wise i wud say mech pilani...due to oppurtunities like practice skool and pilani is also a top ranked college...

see if u just wnt to stay near ur home, i mean u are adamant about it then definitely take nsit. u will get a good branch there thanks to ur rank in cee.

BITS Pilani any day. BITS Pilani is better. BITS is a better tag and is only growing. Everything about it is much better. In the future education will be privatised and pvt colleges with more money, infra, faculty will do loads better. Eve now BITS is better

i would advice u to join bits... if u r interested in electronics join bits goa...u got to realize the fact that bits would be on the top in the next few years....even better than iits..

i am also a delhiite nd dng ee e in pilani ... see i wud say this ... u r asking for replies bw 2 optuions so on a random scale u will get 50 % here 50 5 there
so is there rllu a use in asking of an opinion ?? no .
see i wud advice u this .. boith are gud colleges nd both branches are also gud ... but mainly nsit ece has a better job opportunities than pilani mech as rightly said by sum1 above ... but to tell u that is just the beginning scene .. fine getting a core job in the beg is difficult .. but mech jobs do exist nd are far more fascinating than eee jobs trust me ( i told u i have the branch so i noe .. )
plus , bits is a nationall college .. the biggest advantage ... nsit being a state college dsnt hold up to that ...
lastly i dnt mean to say nething against nsit nd my knowledge mite not be full ... but nsit campus life nd infrastructure is not that gud as compared to pilani ...
bt still biooth are gud options ...
if u ask for my advice take pilani ... i wud say lastly in this case brand name wud also matter

come to pilani dude and who knows you might just get EnI ........
last year it was 337 this year seeing the first iteration cut off may fall by 3 marks and apart from that mechanical is a gr8 branch .
i don't know about Nsit but i know about pilani and believe me there are a lot of delhites there ( approx 60-70 each year) and in two words plani rocks.........

I think there is unnecessary hue and cry for BITS even without knowing the guds/bads of other side.
NSIT is as gud as BITS. There are always issues so it is difficult to pinpoint what is gud and what is not.
CSE in NSIT is much better option than Mech/ENI BITS Pilani. You have all options open, rather more opportunities to get into CAT/IIM being in DELHI than in Pilani. Better placements at NSIT ( Ranked 2nd in All India) and donot forget NSIT has also brand name.

@ ss1729 ... i told it clearly i am a delhiite nd am dng eee in pilani .. fr uur kind info i too had a cee rank to fetch me cs last yr at nsit ... but i decided against it ..
just rem it ... this isnt "hue and cry " ... itz a sensible opinion ... nd in sum ways ... u urself dnt noe abt brand value nd stuff ....
CAt coaching pilani has IMS ... GRE coaching is conducted by the faculty .. nd the brand .. well there is certainly no comparison ... forget being equivalent
had he got civil at pilani perhaps my anser wud hv deviated ... bt not in this scenario ...
nd for the placemenst .. NSIT gets placements cz
1. situated in delhi
2. only btech branches are there
3. itz a gud college
so the avg is high .. plus the number of students is also bt 500
fr bits .. the avg is 4.5 .. why ?? this includes science grups nd dualites as well .. u wana noe in comp sci eee nd eni .... cs avg is in 7 , eee is 6.7 nd eni is 6.13 ...
just cz there are ppl on this forum who are recomnmending bits at every stage dusnt mean there is hue nd cry .... their attitude is wrong thats it ...
