by the way aksahy talwar...according to ur predection...i should get branches like civil at bit mesra...and my rank is 19365...and not in btwn 25000-40000...in any case in bit mesra admission is based on state rank...so u cannot predict on air basis....ppl wid rank of 30000+ can get mech,eee etc if they are from NE states except for assam...

This year admission is not on state basis, now everything is on AIR basis. I said a cutoff of 15-20k, the chances of that being closer to 15k are much more. There is a very slim chance that you might scrap through. However don't expect anything to happen, if it does then treat it as a bonus.

chk out ccb site...admission to bit mesra is still on state rank basis....and not on air basis..it ha only been implemented in NIT this year.....BIT Mesra still is followinf the old tradition...wch is what making my chances somewhat brighter than what u r sayin..but then yes nothin can be predicted....about treat...i cant give u thru internet...we will have to meet for sure for that...

if you get BIT Mesra civil then nothing like it.

Go for Pesit EEE...and there are chances that in the 2nd counselin of comedk..u mite get ECE in PESIT or maybe RV...since the aieee counselin is almost over...many ppl are goin to back out from colleges under comedk

PESIT is better than NIT Silchar probably irrespective or course unless may be you are comparing Civil to CSE or something as Civil in a college like PESIT does not make much sense.

another query is that i have taken my aieee councelling to 2nd form...didnt take up silchar as suggested by u all...i was also getting durgapur biotech,metallurgy...rourkela ceramic,mining dat day..but didnt take up those....my air is 19365...what are my chances in 2nd form or 2nd councelling???

You have good chances. If you are lucky you might scrap through some IIIT, Thapar Civil, PEC Mett, NIT KKR Surat etc Civil

Best bet would be IIIT>Thapar Civil>PEC Mett
