why did u replace the first term by x+1..........we didnot do that previously??

the first term in the previous expansion is (x^0+x^1+...)
meaning it can be selected or not selected
but in the 2nd question you gave the minimum value a dice can have is 1
it cant take the value 0
so x^0 is not written
