firstly i thank nitesh for bringing out this topic.....and i completely agree wit himanshu and vinod......and prakriteesh gave the best solution 4 this.....
but i think admin sir is also correct and moreover , this is the time we all r getting holidays aftr our 11th.......so i think we need sum rest to gain still more energy to prepare for 12th....so i think this will b temporary......and again wen our 12th classes get started we all will b in a full swing.... :) :) :)

i too agree wid u all.
i think the non-academic section shud not be at all in the community shelf.
also the lounge forum is still available for such posts.

yes i agree wid u there r very less good ques and all those predictions about rank r making it loose its significance. the idea abt weekly tests is perfect

i have put the topic there in the general forum two days before.......................
and the Admin. Sir replied..............And all rated him for his reply............

FRIENDS AND admin sir please read patiently...
see,first of all....let us do away wid nudge books.. it should be something like private messages....like...in...www.physicsforums.com...it really makes more sense....and have reputation system as in www.scienceforums.com.....instead of altitudes ...sir, please check these out.....
and,yes as others said let us have weekly tests...we as seniors can also help..by posting tests on specific topics ..let us designate seniors by there area of supermacy..that is one may be gud in one subject or topic etc..
yes, i agree it is a temporary phase ...but it is somewhat like global warming i.e. not completely reversible....we have to think to bring the best out of our gud SITE GOIIT.COM...

its a good idea
Many students like me doesn't have access to Brilliant's and Fiitjee's
correspondence courses and test materials.
So, it would be nice if those who have got them upload those papers in this site.
it will be a good deed, helpful for many............
and more or less, goiit works on that principle.

ok guys... the stuff mentioned by guys along with the really constructive discussions. suggestions by Prakriteesh and faradewaals are really commendable.. jotting down the culprits or issues as we state it:
1. rank prediction questions spree... like "got xyz in abc.. will i get pqr"?
2. community shelf fun articles..
3. the nudgebook being used to chit-chat than to ping people for queries.
4. the altitude hogging issues - people wanting and trying to get more n more rates.
So here's my take on the same:
1. About rank predictions: however hard we try. its not possible to stop people form asking predictions... thats the problem with democracy :) but yes, we can atleast start giving the counselling queries less precidence soon... atleast not giving focus on homepage woul be a good idea for all.
2. community shelf fun articles - thats another burning issue. i think the commuinty shelf would have two separate sections - one for fun articles and other for academic. the br |
