Hmm well thats what i did in the beginning. But then what I thought was that after finding velocity at that point, you have to find centripetal acceleration, viz v^2/l. Then at this point, acceleration due to gravity is acting downwards, so u have to take the resultant of the two.

the three problems in mechanics which were posted recently by you , waterdemon and frenied went over my head while you all were very much comfortable in solving these with expertise..
i can never equal you all.....never.....
i realised this in this very week when the above three questions were posted.

i feel akward with all these 202 rates of mine with 144 hats while you have less than me......
it should not be like this. ...
value of rates should be assigned by the quality of sums one solves.

Its not that. Its simply because you solve in a better way than me, and you solve better sums, with better presentation. Thats the simple reason why your altitude is higher :)

hmmm....frnds im really sry to inform u all who've been praising urselves over this issue...none of the answers so far r correct...though one of them is quite close...and ill clarify further...a0 is a constt.not a variable though it was'nt mentioned as such in the problem...so i didnt give it in the beginning...
