x=t + sint and y= cost
thus, resultant will be ( (t +sint )^2 + (cost)^2 )^1/2
= (t^2 + 2tsint + 1) ^1/2
integrate from 0 to 2 pi to get the exact answer.

m in xi class so not so sure abr the ans
to find disp is easy...
x=t+sint
put t=0, we get 0
y= cost. t put t=0 again y=0
x=t+sint t=2pi, x=2pi,
y= cost. t
t=2pi, y= -2pi
so disp=(x^2+y^2)^.5
so simple
