no,,,, bullet will hit the monkey tht for sure...heres the expl....the vertical comp of motion for both is same,......hence there is no rel motion in vertical diec...so the dist travelled by the monkey is same as the dist traveled by the bullet in y direc...hope u got it..rate if useful...

the bullet may or may not hit the monkey suppose if the monkey if far enough then the bullet would hav reached the highest point in the mean time and so the vertical displacements are not same

It all depends on the distance from which the bullet is fired and the time taken by the monkey to respond to the event.
No values and parameters are given in the problem. So it appears to be more like a puzzle and thus you may keep on speculating for wat will happen depending on assumptions you have made.
Do specify the problem properly.

The Scientist does not study nature because it is useful; he studies it because he delights in it, & he delights in it because it is beautiful. If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
