ANSWER IS (C) simple... while lift is stationary h = 1/2 gt2 while lift is accelerating upwards h = 1/2(a+g)T2 Divide the 2 equations 1 = gt2 / (a+g)T2 T2 = t2(g / g+a) T = t (g / g+a ) T = t ( 1 / (1 + a/g) ) or T = t (1 + a/g)1/2 SO ANSWER IS (C)
