COOH is given more pref. than SO3H..
in FIITJEE's solution to AIEEE 2008, its given SO3H > COOH
but its wrong, in actual COOH > SO3H

i think it is only fiitjee who has given the answer as -so3h> -cooh
if it is so, then iam sure the answer is -cooh>-so3h BECAUSE THEY ARE ALWAYS WRONG

SO3H is not as...powerful as COOH..
in most of the links given by...on the first page...u can very well judge that...
only fiit jee is giving the solution as S03H...which is surely incorrect...

according to NCERT it is cooh but according to allother reference books it is SO3H
but since this is AIEEE answer will be COOH though it appears to be wrong(according to all major reference books0

No NCERT ,no other books ...........just go by the IUPAC.
see the page 4 in the following link recommended by IUPAC
old.iupac.org/reports/provisional/abstract04/BB-prs310305/Chapter4.pdf
It says COOH > SO3H in seniority among acids.
