maths & computing(M.sc course)... in IIT v\s CS or EEE in nsit\dce?.

Engineering Entrance , JEE Main , JEE Advanced

please wat should be the choice..

and with a little reason ..

As we all three r in the same situation....i think we shud leave one thing--i.e. either we should opt for a top brand name (or what is called as an IIT tag........which i or even u wud really hate to do...as we did persevere for it since 2 yrs...... and that too seriously)............or opt for a top branch which offers amazing salary packages and is of our choice...........so ....guys what to leave?????

i have searched on orkut ..
a lot and found gud response..
Mind says branch ..dil says IIT..
wat to do..?

To the 3 musketeers,
Stay with IIT.....all 3 of u.....
Brand is more imp than the Branch.And in any case, u r not languishing with a worthless branch.

but i am not sure abt the branch....will MSc Integrated Physics fetch me a good job after 5 years of exhaustive study???.....that's what i am not sure abt

Crater,
If u hv taken MSc Physics at IIT-K primarily to get a good job, u v perhaps not given this whole thing a due consideration.
IIT-K has the best Physics Deptt in the country.....u need to go there with a PhD ( from an Ivy league College in the US) on yr mind. Research should be yr area of interest & not a corporate job.

wat u heard is for the m.tech degree from iit delhi

an m.sc degree howevr is quite different

I dont know much yaar but acc to me you should go to NSIT as you are getting maths and scien comp.if you were getting maths and comp I would have advised to go to IIT as its applications are in the field of CS while thats not with Scien comp.

hey i am getting 5yr msc math & comp in iit kgp
and cs in bits

I would suggest the same.

Join IIT.

Its a very interesting branch you have got with applications in both CS and Banking.

And yes packages will be good, bit less than CS.

But considering this fields applications and all you should prefer it over CS NSIT.
