i don't believe IIT- BHU is behind VIT.

IIT- BHU is 18 in rank

VIT is 14.

This also prove that the ind todays survey is pathetic.

MSRIT bangalore is above NIT calicut,suratkal.

@the vitian: please accept the fact that your institute is run by power and money hungry ppl.And its sole aim is to make profits and no provide quality education.

I just cant bare the ignorant fools who I assume, are just 12th pass outs displaying their minimal knowledge on centring the topic towards the 10 RANK in INDIA TODAY. Why is evry one hell bent on proving that VIT doesnt deserve a 10 rank ? Havent you got many other things to worry and enquire about a college ? Lemme say my views.

Ok. VIT doesnt deserve a 10 rank. I agree. So wat ? Does tat make any change to you. If you are good enuf to get into an IIT or NIT go for em. You dont have to hang on such sites looking for what is a best college for u. And Yes, VIT has a very high fee structure. if any one of you have a problem with that dont join. No point arguing to reduce the fees.

I missed a seat into IIT and hence was looking for a decent enuf college wid reputation. REPUTATION plays an important role and u ll recognise it very late. NIT Silchar though being an NIT doesn fetch u in tat aspect. I dont mean to degrade any college but I am just givin an example. VIT has its share of GOOD and BAD. Bad being the over strength and high fees. The good being the reputation and the cultural difference u attain being a part of such a huge multi cultural college. I was the one who benefited a lot from that aspect. I had a fear to talk wid huge group and was a silent guy. But all that changed.

Now a days many ppl will recognise the name VIT. How many will know the college some "Thapar" ? may be the ppl in and arnd tat college.. But VIT is known to evry one.

All in all i wanna say is VIT may not be a top or super college. But it is a good college provided u use the resources it has in store for u. Although I wanna pen down many of my thoughts, I ve more better things to do than explaining all this to some idiots who dont understand the the poster's agony trying to clear the rumors about VIT.  He is neither doing as part of an add campaign to VIT nor VIT is paying him to do this. If atleast one person changes on seein this post, I feel my effort has paid. If not, theres nothing I am gonna lose.

please, I dont want any one to judge me or poze question to me cuz chances of me returning to this site and seeing them are very minimal.

hey.. ive jus finished 12th now...i dont understand y this argument is goin on...im no fan of VIT but i can say tht if it wasnt pretty gud it wud not be recognized worldwide..

yes IITs are the best along woth Bits...among NITs some r gud some aint...wateva it is,no pt comparing them..both r recognized...i fail to understand y ppl r simply rubbishing VIT..im not even goin to VIT but still i feel it shudnt be insulted..

They r just making comments after hearing from someone n u r no one 2 challenge india today ranking. i wanna ask them have they done any survey on d basis of which they r saying that nit's, iiit, bits r better than vit n they should be placed above vit ???

Have u asked d bits administration that why they haven't participated in the survey????? Then u should learn that BITS, Pilani opted out of India Today ranking Since the year 2005, BITS Pilani has opted out of India Todays survey of the top engineering institutions of India because of a pending court case between BITS and India Today. In 2004, when the weekly published its rankings, BITS questioned the validity of the data on BITS reported in the magazine. The institute filed a court case against the magazine which is still pending. As the institute has not been participating in the survey, it does not figure in the list.

See guys at present VIT is not comparable to IIT's Bits or Nits . Dont know abt the future but at present it is no where in the vicinity so  bettr we should accept this fact and stop fighting..

well do u suspect the paper checking..... thats rediculous.... U don't know that vit doesn't give marks with ranks... so hw could u check ur marks???? Through online soluntions... Then u should know that the solutions may be wrong.... even i have also given viteee this year and i m planning 2 join vit also.... and as per me the checking was perfect... u got what u had done..

i dont know why VIT conduct entrance exams then. i seriously advice u not to get into VIT. a college that disrespects merit and runs after money can never be good.
