In a class there are two students, A & B.
Both have same teachers.
both study same books.
both have same friends.
when they have common priviledges,
then why is B given reservation?
just because he is born in a so called SC/ST/OBC family?

reservation is given to that person who is unable to clear a exam on his own.
giving reservation to SC/ST/OBC means that these people have got less brains?
but God has made all equal.
So, by giving reservation we are insulting them.
Hence reservation should not be there.

dude,mark this - RESERVATIONS ARE BAD>
magiko , do you know that it is those who joined iit on the basis of reservation who highly contribute to it's dropout rate.
besides , instead of spending crores on expanding the iits and iims , they could just build schools...but politicians would get much less support that way.

ever heard of US giving "reservations" to negros.....NO??
that is because they see all as equal unlike india where this was to be over by 1960 but due to hordes of POLITICAL reason this continues........
if this country ever wants to make big and become a superpower it has to give up all this......
also do we ever discriminate OBC's,??i mean we are all ONE....
WE ARE INDIANS
"no to reservations"

LOOK, RESERVATION SHOULD BE THERE , BUT IT SHOULD BE A POINT BASED SYSTEM . LET ME XPLAIN
One can develop several parameters like---
---economic/financial status
---caste (after all this also plays a role in backwardness)
---regional location
---gender
---family background
all and maybe more parameters can be developed to which respective weightage can be given. hence each individual can be given points based on which an institution can decide to allot a seat to a particular candidate.
Also ,economic status should be gven maximum weightage .
IN MY OPINION TOTAL RESERVED SEATS SHOULD NOT CROSS 33%.

yeah
I think reservation shouldn't be der at any cost
When there is a fundamental right like "Right To Equality" and everyone are treated equally, then why is there a discrimination in providing seats and derecognising merit. What is worst is that this cast is based on the census taken in 1930 maybe at the time of our great grandpa's and it includes even pakistan and bangladesh. Yet the reservation is being given importance to create tension in the general category. Finally the winner in general category will be considered as a rat who has escaped from the den of cats.
