Hey !!! i had to work on these for 10 days...found out a new proof........
as it is abt FREE lunch.....I will use the concept of FREE energy(gibbs)
We consider the rxn..FREE LUNCH....
here the reaction is endothermic as we gain energy...there fore
H=+ve...the temperature of the food is considerably low....
hence by GIBBS HELMHOLTZ reaction
G=H - TSAs H is +ve and T is low....for this rxn...TS<H(exptl results)
H is +ve and T is low....for this rxn...TS<H(exptl results)G is +ve.....Hence rxn not spontaneous............
So no FREE LUNCH

Man...I seriously think the person who created this question is out of his mind,he's either a maniac, or thought a little toooooooooo complex,...
what do u mean by FREE lunch?!!...n why's there no involvement of money here??...any normal human being will first relate it to paisa no?...n not thermodynamics...

hey dude..................its nt a joke...........this qs came in CCET..........wen ccet was subjective so plz shut ur stupid mouth...............m nt out of my senses that i ask such a qs , it came in the exam , and if u are a chemistry student (really if u are) then there is nthng like " paisa or money in chemistry "..........so plz shut up ..............its related to some energy point thats y i asked it

i thinki during eating food , we have to do some sort of work(by our hands and also by our digestive system) & enrgy is produced too........so, may be the amount of energy produced is higher then the amount of work done . also, amount of energy produced is definately higher them that work done because if it is less or equal to that energy produced to, there is no need to hv food..(bcz no extra energy is being supplied to our body)
hence , the problem...( not sure of my answer)

hey lemme try out sumthng stupid.....
luk wen we cook food certain mass converts 2 energy(e=mc^2) so d energy of d cooked food is less dan d uncooked food......hence ders always a spending of few kj of energy.......
dnt boink me ppl....i knw m tryn out a stupid logic...

I hve found 1 reference of "LUNCH"
It is related to Thermodynamics of phase change and phase equilibrium in small systems & Thermodynamic optimization in naturally organized systems.
No other references cn b fnd still now.

it's simple logic............
in english free lunch means something acquired without effort or payment or obligation.......
relating this wid thermodynamics
it simply deals wid law of conservation of energy that energy can neither be created nor destroyed but can only be transformed from 1 form 2 d other
but for transformation we hav 2 do some work ... it simply can't happen on its own .......so no free lunch .......but pay for ur lunch
