| Summary | No other text on the market today can match the success of Halliday, Resnick and Walker's Fundamentals of Physics. This text continues to outperform the competition year after year, and the new edition will be no exception. Intended for Calculus-based Physics courses, the Sixth Edition of this extraordinary text is a major redesign of the best-selling Fifth Edition, which still maintains many of the elements that led to its enormous success. Jearl Walker adds his unique style to this edition with the addition of new problems designed to capture, and keep, students' attention. Nearly all changes are based on suggestions from instructors and students using the Fifth Edition, from reviewer comments, and from research done on the process of learning. The primary goal of this text is to provide students with a solid understanding of fundamental physics concepts, and to help them apply this conceptual understanding to quantitative problem solving. Fundamentals of Physics, 6th Edition is available in 9 Parts:

Its text is great but please dont go for its problems, They are a lot more subjective and not meant for our competitive exams...
FUNDAMENTALS OF PHYSICS is a must for a jee aspiriant to clear the concepts, I personally found it very knowledgeble. But it is too slow, which is the only demerit in my opinion.
it is very good book containing world class problems.
I personally use this book and is a great fan of its authors.
it pinpoints each and every concept clearly. It aslo gives some great
problem solving tactics which r damm useful for iit and aie^3.
people try it out.. you will feel good !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
physics is all bout the concepts n how strong ur basics r. this book builds the foundation for ur concepts. it an amazin book
For me HC Verma is no match for RHW. No man can match this author... Just wonderful, amazing and fantastic...
a good book...but much detailed than required ...not useful for jee...h.c.verma is the best for every competetive exam...
its a fat so! tooo fat...enuf tu make one lose confidence think its gud for general knowledge bout physics n pretty fascinating with its intro at d beginning of the topics but not reeli meant for iit preps....can help nourish ur knowledge but not ur analysing problems...
peace
This buk rocks thru any angle....but u surely need hc verma wit it to strenthen ur problem solving capablity....it smoothens ur concept lik knife on a butter...
good book...wid xllent theory...but numericals r mostly based on practical purposes....good for iit but irdov and hc verma r d best...
hello friends! it's a good book n i suggest u to follow it to clear theory based but plz don't follow it for questions

better book than hc verma in terms of theory and quantity and quality of questions
