Contest [swordfish #1]: Find the eqn. of the medians of a triangle

None

ABC is a and the equation of the sides AB, BC, CA are
a₁ x + b₁ y + c₁ = 0 .... (1)
a₂ x + b₂ y + c₂ = 0 .... (2)
a₃ x + b₃ y + c₃ = 0 .... (3)

Find the eqn. of the medians of the triangle, without solving for the vertices.

The equation of median through A is a1x+b1y+c1+k(a3x+b3y+c3)

this line passes through mid point of BC. The vertices B is (b1c2 - b2c1/a1b2 - a2b1 , a2c1 - c2a1/a1b2 - a2b1) and similarly find other vertices. Solve for k and substituting in 1st equation.

this line passes through mid point of BC. The vertices B is (b1c2 - b2c1/a1b2 - a2b1 , a2c1 - c2a1/a1b2 - a2b1) and similarly find other vertices. Solve for k and substituting in 1st equation.

x' =[x1+x2+x3]/3

Y'=[y1+y2+y3]/3

the equation will be

a1 x + b1 y + c1+k(a2 x + b2 y + c2)=0 than tan thita/2=((-a1/b1+a3/b3)/1+a1a3/b1b3)/2=angle between median and a2 x + b2 y + c2 where k can be found out
