2.the question asked by a goIITian should not be answered by the same goIITian
3.if no correct answers come for 7 consecutive posts following the question then the goIITian who had asked the question can answer them...

Hi everyone, just wanted to know if anyone here are into Harry Potter fan fiction and have any good recommendations for me...
For those of you who do not have a clue what I am talking about, fanfiction is Harry Potter fiction written by fans. Completely legal as long as you don't make any monetary profits out of it. Infact, Rowling herself promotes fan fiction as it increases interest in her series and keeps people more interested in Harry Potter even during the long two year hiatus between consquent books and blah blah blah ... Sorry, I have a nasty habit of incoherent babbling.
Anyways back to the point, I was introduced to fan fiction by a friend a few months back, and now I am seemingly hooked. One thing I sometimes feel is - some authors actually seem to be better than JKR. True, they do use her ideas and characters, but then hey - what the hell - all I care for is an awesome read...
Well... if anyone's interested, here are a couple o singularly classic works of fan fiction I'd like to share... try them once - you won't be dissappointed. And yes if by any teeny chance there is another fanfiction freak out there, I'd love to hear some recommendations. Lots more fanfics I can recommend, if anyone's interested.

Harry Potter and the Nightmares of Futures Past:
Story Desc : The war is over. Too bad no one is left to celebrate. Harry makes a desperate plan to go back in time, even though it means returning Voldemort to life. Now an 11 year old Harry with 30 year old memories is starting Hogwarts. Can he get it right?
My Desc : Fantastic fic about a 30 year old Harry Potter who has just managed to defeat Voldemort, but at the price of all his loved ones. Making a vow to get it all right this time, he travels back in time and starts Hogwarts as a 11 year old, desperate to ensure the survival of all he cares about. Almost a must - read.

The Darkness Within:
Desc : What if Wormtail hadn't told Lord Voldemort the Potters hideout. What if he took Harry straight to him instead? A fic about a 15 year old Dark Harry who has been trained by Voldemort himself to become the feared Dark Prince, Voldemort's personal assassin and successor. Behind a silver Death Eater mask and a hidden identity, his parents (James n Lily o'course) think of him as dead. But what happens when the Order of the Phoenix capture him, recognize him to be Harry Potter, and try to force him away from Voldemort by sending a rebellious, and fatally dangerous Harry Potter to Hogwarts as a sixth year student?
Amazingly original fic, awsome read...

sorry but i have to admit that all the answers i have given aren't in my brain.i have online versions of all 6 books and also a fake HPDH.just searching it gets all ur answers!

note wat cooldude has said very carefully..........he says that snape did not mention abt his liking towards lily to NO-ONE.........so with that in mind snape wud obviously hav not wanted James,the very james who was trying to allure lily into his web,to know abt his love for lily.....so ,he obviously wanted to show to james that he has no feelings 2wards lily.........................

if it is james then the matter ends there.how would it affect book 7?also 5th year students know about dementors so lily doesn't require to be told by james.whosoever told lily must have done before her 4th year and thats why i suspect snape.also the girl in snape's memories seem to be lily playing with snape.
