@ perin and vishesh_saxena1 did u peopke give cutoff for rank below 500 or was it a cutoff for the rankings??......well may be admin sir is rite it ll be around 140-150 cutoff....but cant say ......

I have scored 135. Too low to even catch the tail. Please tell me if there any chance of my getting into the extended merit list. (For institutes other than IITs)

according to latest confirmed news 3 more iits r being launched dis year wid 200 seats each(each havin 100 for gen.), moreover BHU is goin to b iit in 1-2 year(our PM declared it in BHU on 15 march). considerin dem in mind what will a person in 4500-5500 rank get. will students opt the 3 new iits ( which r without any campus) before BHU.

moreover for extended merit list, the earlier 3 iisers in kolkata, pune, mohali r now being increased to 2 more- bhopal, trivandrum. Will extended list b extended more?

I have heard that cut- off in 2006 was 156. Is it true? many experts r sayin dat dis year paper was toughest in last 4 years...... Will cut-off go even lower dis year????

yup dude its like this only:
JEE 06 cut-off----- 156 (Gen) and 80(Category)
JEE 07 cut-off-----206 (Gen) and 126(Category)
JEE 08 cut-off----170(Gen) and 90 (Category)

here r sme links perrrrrinnnn n othrs of course... check thm out... fiitjee chd n sme local teachers say if u score bout 230-270(dats my xpected range too) u shall gt a rank in 900-1500.... it means atleast u gt electronics at iit guwahti.....
