one case the fric force acts downward... now cal its w and this gives u the min value of w and now for max value consider the fric force to be upwardds.. hope u ll get it.....

well fric force is a self adjustin force...so as the block is movin down wards the fric opposes motion and thus acts upwards... cheers..

dont just get confused betw all those things....just visualize the prob....Centipetal force is not strong enoygh then it takes a curved path and this fact doent come in the above ues at all....first get all ur force diag clearly/....
