look you are considering that the block is moved up and then motion starts
then fine you are right
but thats not given
it would be better to assume that the block is initially displaced downwards so that both the springs get involved so that the time period remains the same

well dont consider the block starts motion by moving up only...fine but it involves two types of motion....one both springs efect i.e when the block comes down during its oscillation and other only the below spring effects i.e when the block moves up...during its motion ...not only in its begining/.....

even when the block starts downward ..when its movin upward...only one spring has its effect....

so here i have justified my answer....this motion is not actually SHM...so i dont think we csn apply the conservation of energy???i still have a doubt.....
