sum of n terms =a(1-rn)/ (1-r)

                          =  (a-arn) / (1-r)

                          =   (a-arn-1 r) / (1-r)

                          =      (a-rTn) /(1-r)              Tn = nth term , r= common ratio

HENCE    sum =      (  a-rTn) / (1-r)

The amplitude of the reflected wave is [ (c2 - c1 ) / (c1 + c2 ) ]Ai and the
amplitude of transmitted wave is At = Ai [ 2c2 / (c1 + c2 )].
Ai = amplitude of incident wave in first medium
c1 = speed of wave in first medium
c2 = speed of wave in second medium

Motion of a charged particle in uniform mag field
    qvB = mv^2/r
     r = mv/qB

  Time period ; T = 2(pi)r/v
                        = 2(pi)m / qB

  Frequency of revolution is
      V = 1/ T = qB / 2(pi)m

Dist between two coherent sources is given by :
         d = 2a(-1)

  where a = dist between the source & the prism
           = refractive index of the prism with respect to surrounding medium
           = refractive angle of each prism in radians

If z1,z2 are 2 complex nos.,the locus of point P(z) describes

1.an ELLIPSE if |z-z1|+|z-z2|=2a where 2a>|z1-z2|

2.a HYPERBOLA if |z-z1|-|z-z2|=2a where 2a<|z1-z2|

3.a CIRCLE if (|z-z1|/|z-z2|)=k if k is not equal to 1

4.a STRAIGHT LINE if (|z-z1|/|z-z2|)=1.
