hi..! sir,...honestly saying tht ism is known as minning school becoz ism was intiated with the branches minning and petro etc. in 1926...... later on as per need of these branches core branches were introduced... and nw a days these branches have very gud placements and all.....in 2001 mhrd wanted to convert this into iit but ism refused..but nw ism is in process of converting into iit...becoz core branches hv made very good place there.. :)

thnx mate yes i know its difficult to come from your previous impression even now the time you talk aboput ismu people talk about mining and petro but thats not a problem because most probably mining of ismu is the only branch in india which can be considered the best not only in india but in asia

how are the facilities at ISm dhanbad...I mean there are many new hostels....are they(new hostels) provided to new students...or they(freshers) have to accommodate at the old ones...no prob with old hostels...just curious to know...thnx in advance
