OKAY YOU MEAN SAT I NOTHING BEFORE JEE. YES, I AGREE. SAT IS WAY EASIER. BUT WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ABOUT THE LEVEL OF MIT, YALE AND PRINCETON??? THEY ARE WAY ABOVE A LEVEL BEING EVEN COMPARED TO IIT. AND NOW YOU SEE THE SELECTION PROCEDURE. GREAT INSTITUTES DONT HAVE AN EASY SELECTION PROCEDURE???

AND AS FOR THE NO. OF WORKING DAYS IS CONCERNED, I HAVE COMPLETED MY SCHOOLING FROM THREE DIFFERENT STATES. AND I DIDNOT EXPERIENCE THIS 150 WORKING DAYS SCHEDULE. MAYBE I WAS LUCKY IN THAT CASE.

yes u r ryt tht who can do well in competitive xams can do well in boards. it happens to those who don't go to schools and give school xams. but who give school xams get selected and secure good nos. in jee. as for example from my coaching institute, this year who topped  secured 96% in boards!!!! so those who prepare for cbse they can also qualify jee and and secure above 90% in boards!!!! so just i want to say tht thr's a difference in board question pattern and aieee questions. so the conclusion is tht boards should change the question pattern only before this system  is intrtoduced!!!!

listen!!!! in sat 1 the main problem is english!!!! maths is very easy. it can be answered by anyone who have studied for cbse properly. yes for getting selected in mit, yale ,princeton, stanford etc. we hve to secure more thn 2200 out of 2400. and many students fail to achieve this because of english only!!!! so ihvnt said tht it's easy thn jee until english is very good. and as per concern abt physics, chemestry and maths it is very thn tht of jee!!!! even i also want to go to these institutes because these institutes are much better thn iit but i m not able to give sat because of studies and not hving sufficient preprn in english. so i will also give sat next year in month of may

i also want to congratulate for securing 92% in boards!!!!

THOUGH NONE OF IT HELPED ME BUT AM HAPPY THAT ATLEAST I COULD FARE WELL IN THE BOARDS. I CAN ALWAYS TAKE AN YEAR'S DROP AND GIVE THE ENTRANCES BUT BOARDS TO BAAR BAAR NAHI AAENGE!

NOT MANY OF THOSE WHO PREPARE FOR CBSE SECURE A VERY GOOD RANK IN THE ENTRANCES. BUT THAT IS THE POINT THE COMMITEE NEEDS TO LOOK INTO. REFINE THE EXAMINATION PATTERN OR TAKE AN ADDITIONAL EXAM TO CHECK WHO ACTUALLY DESERVE IT.

NEITHER IS THE PRESENT SYSTEM FAIR ENOUGH, NOR WILL TAKING STUDENTS PURELY BASED ON THE PRESENT CBSE BE FAIR.

THERE NEEDS TO BE A CHANGE IN THE EXAMINATION PATTERN AS VINAMRA VINAY JUST MENTIONED.

ATLEAST KUCH TO ACHHA HOGA!!! IT COULDNT BE A FAIR SYSTEM FOR US BUT ATLEAST HUMARE JUNIORS K LIYE TO THODA BETTER SYSTEM HOGA.

AND PLEASE....KOI SUN RAHA HAI TO RESERVATIONS KA KUCH KARO!!! WARNA SAARE KIYE KARAYE PE PAANI FIR JAYEGA!!

I think there should be no board xams

IITJEE decides intellegence not those idiotic board xams

I got 80.8% in 12th boards and AIR 6789 in JEE 2009

I know many ppl getting 92-94% and not getting selected

mr. akshay, listen if we can get through iitjee so why many students don't get marks above 85% in board exams. why u got only 80.8% you can have get more if board xams r idiotic thn it must be easy also!!!! though i consider tht thr is a problem in board's question pattern and it should be changed also but it doesn't means tht it is idiotic. let me tell u tht many question in chemestry and physics were based on ncert syllabus only!!!

and let me tell u tht the board xams which u r telling an idiotic, it will be an important factor when u will apply job. u wll get a job as u r in iit but the difference in salaries is due to board xams marks also!!!!

Board does not test your intelligence,you may argue as much as you want but the fact won't change

and now we have people here calling the boards "idiotic"....hmmm....arre sir aap yaha kya kar rahe ho?? aapko to cabinet mein hona chahiye sir!!!

a very common thing which people have it in them is *criticising* any and everything under the sun.....ghar baithe bolna aasan hota hai...if you are great enough to call CBSE "idiotic" then why couldnt you get a better score in those "idiotic" exams???

if you couldnt score, you have no right to criticise as well!!!!

board doesnt test your intellingence, huh??? let me tell you mister, many(MIND IT!!! NOT ALL, JUST MANY!!!) secure a better rank in JEE only because many others get panicky and commit very small errors on account of which they loose out on negative marking....many mis-mark the answers and the present system where we cannot change our answers speaks in favour of those who neither score well in cbse nor are they competent enough...and just get LUCKY!!!! then what do you have to say about those who really deserve itand loose it out on such issues??

there is Nothing like SMALL ERRORS 

Mistakes are MISTAKES   either they are SMALL one or SILLY ....... 

We just use it for our satisfaction .. " oh god .. agar main ye silly mistake na karta to meri IIT ho hi jati  "  ..... 

And the one reason i thought for board exams is  that both the JEE and board exams are very near means very less days inbetween ...

So kayi log february se baords ki tayaari shuru kar dete hain .. do good in boards .. keeping JEE aside ..

But some .. jinke paas dimaag hota hai .. wo JEE ko zyada priority dete hain ...

ye sab karke bhi wo ache marks le aate hain ( 75-80 % are not bad .. )  !!

why dont you accept the fact that many of those who have a better brain loose it out on very small issues???

"MISTAKES ARE MISTAKES" are used by those who do not want to accept this fact that many of those who deserve it arent able to get it coz of such mere issues. this "mistakes are mistakes" system doesnot say that the one who committed an error is a dodo and the other who got lucky by his error is a genius!!!

anyways.....there is a lot of difference between a 75% and a 95%......maano ya na maano, if all you wanna do is JEE then slam your boards and you see your results.....

and dont tell me "jinke paas dimaag hota hai"....darn those who use such words!!! dimaag hai to cbse mein better score kyu nahi kiya???

and let me clear one thing here, i was not, and neither am i, a JEE aspirant.

i was a PCMB student, never interested in engineering and gave my engineering entrances for namesake.

so donot draw a conclusion that I AM SUPPORTING THE CAUSE HERE ONLY COZ I COULDNT GET A SEAT INTO AN IIT. I NEVER WISHED A SEAT COZ I NEVER WAS INTERESTED IN ENGINEERING.

I AM SUPPORTING THS ONLY BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN IT.

THE DEBATE IS NOT WHETHER BOARDS ARE IMPORTANT OR JEE.

i dont wanna say anything else. i've put my views....dimaag hai to score in boards....only those people call boards *useless*, *idiotic* and *waste* who are not able to cope up with the standard of boards....any chipmunk who has been trained day and night for facing JEE can secure a good rank in JEE and loose it out in CBSE....itna hi dimaag hai to CBSE mein achha kyu nahi karte??? only because you did not attend a coaching for CBSE??? and only went for a JEE coaching???
