KINEMATICS - One Dimensional - I
1. v = u + at
2. S = ut + (at2)/ 2
3. v2 = u2 + 2aS
4. 2S = t(u + v)
5. Sn = u + a(2n - 1)/ 2
6. Equal 'n' distances travelled with speeds : v1 , v2 , v3 ................ vn . Then average speed ' v ' is such that :
n / v = 1 / v1 + 1 / v2 + 1 / v3 + .............. + 1 / vn
7. Equal 'n' time intervals covered with speeds : v1 , v2 , v3 ................. vn. Then average speed ' v ' is such that : v = (v1 + v2 + v3 + ...................... + vn) / n
8. Consider this situation : A body is dropped from a height 'h' so that it reaches the ground in time 't' with a final velocity of 'u'. Then :
(a) h = u2 / 2g => u = ( 2gh )
(b) h = t2g / 2 => t = ( 2h / g)
(c) t = u / g
***At a distance of ( h / n ) from the top : velocity = u / n
: time = t / n
***At time ( t / n ) : velocity = u / n : distance from top = h / n2
