Remember Cedric. Remember, if the time should come when you have to make a choice between what is right and what is easy, remember what happened to a boy who was good, and kind, and brave, because he strayed across the path of Lord Voldemort. Remember Cedric Diggory.

OK ENOUGH, I think almost all the goiitians are aware of this thread and as from general response, it is seen that it would be benefitial not to continue this thread. PEOPLE ARE GETTING DEMORALISED. So next person (whoever you are), a request : PLEASE DONT POST A REPLY. If you still have arguments, nudge tarinbansal or whoever concerned. DO NOT CONTINUE THIS THREAD PLEASE.

bansal's d best-agreed. Bansal sir rly flogged us when he found out we joined fiitjee, bt we were never recommended bt by anyone. Bt's series is no good, my friend keeps asking ques. from them-many times the solutions are wrong. I hav joined aits coz giving tests gives me confidence.
Resolvable compounds are those which are optically active, whether the mixture is racemic or optically active. (The components of a racemic mixture can be separated by using enzymes which react with only 1 of the 2 components.)

I know this thread has been closed but I want to reactivate it for a noble cause. We shud submit all the answers which we think are given wrong in the solutions so that students dont get demoralised by their less marks and can calculate the true marks they deserve. But remember, dont use this thread anymore for criticising any coaching institute. I hav already posted many ques of the Open test.
Well here's one more- Paper 1-Chem Q-Which of the foll statement is correct? A)-Xenate ion is basic solution undergoes disproportionation to produce Xe and perxenate ion.
B)-XeF4 on hydrolysis produces both Xe(g) and XeO3(s).
C)-H2S2O8 on hydrolysis pruduces 1 mole of H2SO3 and one mole of H2SO4.
D)-When hydrolised, BiCl3 gives white precipitate. The answer given is - C But according to NCERT, B also is correct. So those who marked B, can take it as the correct answer even if those FIITJEE people cut ur marks.

hey tarin, abt that SF4 bond angle thing, the two axial bonds wont be at 180. Because of lone pair at equitorial, the axial F will bend away from it and the bond angle will become less than 180 (seesaw shape)

in the open test paper 2 bond angle match, (IF2)- is given as polar, whereas according to me it should be nonpolar.

in open test, the organic ke passage ka last question ka answer is given wrong.........look at the right option according to them and look at the option that their soln. points out towrds which is actually the right answer....... paper 2..... wheatstone passage ......i guess Q1 answer shud be b instead of a..... Q3 the answer that it shud make a difference......

abt the wheatstone bridge, the ans of q1 is correct(i got the expression), bt i agree tat the ans of q3 should be B. proof of q1- im typing on my cell, so i cant use the formula editor. Let lambda be m, alpha be a and ß be b. We have- L1m + a + x = (100 - L1)m + b + y hence x - y = (100 - 2L1)m + (b - a) (i)
now writing in terms of L2, L2m + a + y = (100 - L2)m + b + x which gives y - x = (100 - 2L2)m + (b - a) (ii) subtracting i and ii, we get x - y = m(L2 - L1)
