Advice for IIT-JEE - General information for all
None

This post may be of some help for many of those students who are currently taking the Class XII exams and are also simultaneously preparing for the JEE.

This competitive exam tests your knowledge in three areas -- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

This year, JEE has two question papers of a three-hour duration, each consisting of separate sections in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The questions will be objective-type, which are to be answered on a specially designed machine-gradable sheet using HB pencils only. Incorrect answers will merit you negative marks.

Those who receive a call from IIT after the test and apply for the B Arch and B Des courses will have to take an aptitude test, which comprises freehand drawing, geometrical drawing, three-dimensional perception, imagination and aesthetic sensitivity, and architectural awareness.

Every year, over one lakh students take the JEE; this year too, the competition is expected to be immense.

Are you an ex-IITian? Are you studying at any of the IITs? Do you train students to give the IIT-JEE? Are you teaching at an IIT? Give those who plan to take IIT-JEE this year a helping hand.

sir! as the paper is divided into two parts, to pass the cutoff do we have to qualify the min. cutoff for each subject(in both papers) or do we have to qualify the cutoff of total marks?
