Yours is the first year with this kind of second counselling, so how can anybody have any idea about how the seats change? Sorry, but you're the guinea pigs!

bdw no of ranks upgraded in second counselling will be the no of students leaving iits for bits...!!! and guessing something is not a crime..!

you also have to consider the increase in OBC seats. Last year, when there was a 18% quota , some of the seats were vacant after the first round, so you can expect a lot of OBC seats to be vacant with a 27% quota. These vacant seats will go to the general category in round 2

So the cutoffs for branches in the 3000+ region might fall.
