1. IIT VARANASI:CIVIL

2. IIT VARANASI :MECHANICAL

3. NSIT : COMPUTER ENGG.

i asked one of the student of mech there. avg for mech was around 7.5 lpa last year.i have taken mech at bhu.

mech avergae shoul be near 6 ,.even top IIT hav near ths ,..civil is more worse,,.,at nsit CSE u can expect near 9+ lack average ,.,.CS gives great plcmnts nd NIST is a onr of the top CS college

^ I don't know the Mech BHU but I did comparison for Electrical, Electronics and CS for BHU and Roorkee. I was surprised that BHU was slightly ahead in all three. But if you look at closing ranks , you would think that Roorkee should have higher placements. I agree that Delhi/Bombay Mech should have high salary than BHU but where did you find out about Mech in established IIT having package near 6? It seems low to me. Electronics in BHU was near 9-10. Math and computing at BHU was 10.5. I am not comparing to CS because CS was too high due to few overseas placements but I don't think 6 is the figure for Mech at any established IIT.

7.5 at BHU seems more in range to me. Mech can not have that low salary compared to Electrical and Electronics. I would think that Delhi/Bombay should have even higher.
