Chemical in Bombay or Mechanical in Kharagpur

None

Which branch should I go for; Chemical (may be dual degree) in IIT Bombay or Mechanical (hopefully 4 yr) in IIT Kharagpur?

CHEMICAL AT BOMBAY IS VERY FAMOUS. BUT MECHANICAL IS REGARDED AS A SUPERIOR BRANCH. TO ME A 4 YRS MECHANICAL AT KHARAGPUR SEEMS TO BE A BETTER OPTION THAN 5 YRS DUAL DEGREE CHEMICAL AT BOMBAY. IF YOU LET US KNOW YOUR IITJEE RANK, MAY BE WE SUGGEST YOU A FEW MORE OPTIONS SUITING YOU.

chem IIT B> mech IIT KGP>dual chem IIT B

this is the order you should follow.

If you can get mech @ madras take it as madras is famous for its mech.The same can be said about IIT B chem.

If you are interested in comp sci or electrical, then your best bet is to check out the new IITs. You could check out IIT Punjab's website at www.iitpunjab.co.cc .

PS: Only these 2 branches have shown good placments during this recession.
