Core job options are very limited but it has good research scope if you want to study further. Else you always have the option to sit for the companies which are open to all branches.

Stop asking silly questions . You have cracked the JEE . Think Different , even if you havent do thnk different it helps . It least matters for a Msc from an IIT FOR PLacements they dont teach you like jus another guy looking for good job . You need to work on your studies . Do hard work and acheive something . Dont jus' sit idle for campusing if you get an IIT . Study for yuorself and for the country . Placements Hah! Mr.Richard P.Feynman wasn't looking for placements when he got into Bsc.
