I GOT EML IN JEE 2009 . ON BASIS OF WHAT THE EML COLLEGES ADMIT STUDENTS.IS THERE ANY RANKINGS IN EM

I GOT EML IN JEE 2009 . ON BASIS OF WHAT THE EML COLLEGES ADMIT STUDENTS.IS THERE ANY RANKINGS IN EML.CAN I GET IN IIST. HOW SHOULD I APPLY . KINDLY PROVIDE ME SOME DETAILED INFORMATION.

can anyone tell abt the cut off for iit jee???
Not now. After you people get your scorecards, that will be about 3-4 months from now.

i just wanted to ask about the scope of iist and iiser?????
Better ask IIST and IISER guys.

as I am an EML qualified candidate then what chance do I have over others to get selected for the Integrated courses at IISERs.
Your iit jee marks. More your marks, greater your chance of selection.

How do they screen the candidates from the JEE stream -- is it purely based on their JEE score?

Does selection in the EML guarantee selection to the IISERs?

@Debarun: I heard the JEE marks are put on the website only sometime in August. But admission to IISERs are done well before that. How then is the ranklist put up? That should mean then that EML candidates have no place there. Just JEE merit candidates can get in based on their ranks?

IIMS(merchant navy) had already distributed the admission form and the last date was 2nd april,i had seen it in education times section of

times of india and then filled it.so the only choice left for you is IIST ,IISER or RGIPT so all the best

lagta hai tumhe bhi sub clear karna parega.............dhayan se suno.............eml ke liye koi counsling date nahi hai...........eml students ke liye iits kuch nahi karegi...........eml me koi rank bhi nahi hai.........eml ek tag hai.........chahe tumahre marks 190 ho ya 90 tum eml me ho...........isme sub students equal hai......kisi ko nahi pata ki unka rank kya hai.......aur na hi eml ke kiye koi rank dia gaya hai........ye iits eml ka keval tag deti hai.............aur kuch good colleges like ISRO.IIST. etc.is tag ko dekhkar tumhe addmision deti hai........unhe koi matlab nahi ki tumhare iit me kitne marks the..............vo bus ye jante hai ki tum ek eml student ho........aur jaha tak scope ka saval hai........to agar tumhe aerospace me interst hai.......to go for it..........kyonki ye sub india ke gr8 colleges hai..........aur yaha par tum aerospace eng. ya scintist ban sakte ho...........now i hope tum sub jaan gaye hoge.............aur bhi kuch puchna ho to bol dena.............aur rpl karte rahna................take care.....if it is useful to you then you can rates me also........

An extended merit list, category-wise, has also been drawn to facilitate admissions to other Govt. of India Institutions and the same has been displayed on websites. Students on this list may be counselled by the Indian Institute of Space-Science Technology (IIST), Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs), Rajeev Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology (RGIPT) and Indian Institute of Maritime Studies (formerly DG Shipping). ........if it is useful to you then you can rates me also...........

Before the counseling, the IISERs will be provided with the marks of the candidates who apply for them although the marks are not disclosed to the candidates themselves by that time. And, on the basis of those marks the candidates are counseled

the last two years trend has shown that people in eml doesnt make it to iist as it is closed well inside the main list. but a lot of eml students does find their birth in iisers. if u are in top 50% of eml u have a very good chance of making into iisers ( though u cannot actually find ur eml rank )
