i iit 2009 paper the multi answer question for products formed on combustion of na is ambiguous .it is only mentioned excess of air which means there could have been moisture and hence naoh could have been formed.fiitjee mentions dry air in the solution but i could claim moist ai

Thats exactly wht i was confused about. I also ticked ABD... I assumed air contains enuff moisture to get NaOH also... am losing 1 mk cuz of d neg marking if jee assumes it 2 b dry air :(

just read ur ncert books class X1 s block it is clearly written that the products are peroxide and superoxide of sodiumall coaching institutes have given a and b as the answer which is wrong acc to me

 no, superoxide is for K Rb and Cs, not for Na

traces of superoxide is formed for Na too... that's what messed my answer up...
