Engineering Entrance , JEE Main , JEE Advanced

Basically I've to choose between Chemical or Civil at Kharagpur, Metallurgy and Material Science at Bombay, or Engg. Physics at Delhi. Plus, I've heard that the Engg. Physics as a branch suffers when it comes to placements..

ya Engineering Physics is theoretical and is not that real life based!coming to other options ...what r ur interests..choose according to it...both are IITs ..go with ur interest...buddy!!if no interest then go for bombay

Like most, I'm interested in Comp. Sc., but don't think it'll be wise to compromise on my college for that (I should get Comp. Sc. at BHU).Thank you!

You said you are interested in CS then why you are thinking about leaving IIT-BHU. I was doing research for my bro, and foudn out that despite not having IIT tag, placement was awesome. Highest package was from Facebook :70-75 lakhs pakcage.It is expected to close much earlier this year due to conversion but I think you should be able to egt it this year at least. My brother has above 2000 rank as well and we are putting BHU CS as our top option. Check out their alumni sites. I got some info from there and current CS students. If you were not interested in anything still I would have suggested you BHU CS at your rank but with your interest it is no brainer decision to opt for it. Do some more research because it is about what you want to do rest of your life.

I totally agree with rajat. If you are interested in CS IT-BHU is the best option for you.
