@ sunny...first thing..! ism dont hv civil engg...and at 8081 you have very less chances to get any engg course at ism..

How is ISM dhanbad in terms of placement and campus atmosphere?

@dewratrightly said according to last year cut off ranks may be lesser..but this year seats hv been increased smwt...so you hv fyn chances to get into ism...!but you wont get any good branch over there..still u need not to worry you may improve ur branch by performing well in exams in first year

as placementwise..!!

buddy frenkly speaking its better then iitg.

i will tell u placements status of this year branchwise.

minning.. need not to say.its best within aisa

petroleum...avg pakage of 9-10lac..but no. of student may create problem in future.

computer sc.- each senior hving atleast 2 jobs. avg package of 5 lc.

elex- its best deptt in east india. avg pakage 5 lac

mech.- very good branch hving gr8 future..very gud placements avg pakage 5-6 lac

electrical- new branch but this year it hd very good placemnt avg package 5-6lac

campus atmosphere is vry fyn...when i ws alloted ism-dhnbd..i ws very doubtful tht hw ll be the students overthere,seniors,atmosphere,city,campus...!but dear all of them are quite fyn...

yr you ll definately get m.tech. courses in mining, mineral or environmental sc.\and if u are lucky u may get into btech courses of the above..
