iit k ocean ...is good to get thru petroleum industry and ocean research and metallurgy good for SAIL and similar industry both fetches almost same packages so i ll still go fr iit k as it is better IIT

While the placements might be equally good in both branches metallurgy and material science has more scope because it involves new exciting areas like nanotech,semiconductors and carbon fibres.So there is more scope for MS.
