 Yes HC VERMA's physics is good enough for physics for iit-jee,

if your a drop student then HC verma is enough;

first study as well as solve from it as your basic book then go on to other books like resinick and haliday or TMH MCQ, MTG OBJECTIVE PHYSICS for solving purpose for  etc.

and

if u r in u r XIth then get a good hold of u r theory from modern abc for XI and XII etc. then go on to solve HC Verma first then other books solving.

hcv is good for basics, but solve slightly tougher problems from other sources after doing hcv.

You can check Cengage learnings books on physics for IIT JEE.

These books have a very good collection of problems after HCV

best of luck
