I think no..... firstly you should study yourself with full concentration...Whatever be your course just prepare it by heart....IIT is not at all everything.. Better you should prepare for IIT after 10th so that you can ubderstand well what has been taught....It's all over a foolish talk to prepare IIT from 8th... Even a nursery student cannot understand what has been taught if doesn't know it's basics....So don't worry now.....Best of luck for your future.

i have cleared iit after preparing for one year. if u are a good student one year is enough. please study carefully from now onwards so that your basics become clear. what you learn in classes 9 onwards will help you in iit............................good luck and keep coming to this site

you should try to solve olympiad problems . this will sharpen your mind.there are many olympiad problems books for different classes.if you want you can join coaching institutes like vmc.they build foundation for iit. you can get selected for iit if you prepare after 10nth but getting good rank is very difficult.you need to be imaginative and practicing olympiad problems will help you.

Not at all! In 8th concentrate on building your basics and also on extra curriculars, as personality development is equally important. Prepare for IIT only after 10th and concentrate during those two years.
