yes cbse books are important...especially the inorganic part in chemistry...many que are asked in jee and aieee based on cbse textbook...this year v had match the following of 8 marks in chem directly from p block chapter....its v imp.....rate me if useful

You can check Cengage learnings books on physics for IIT JEE.

These books have a very good collection of problems after HCV
