Last piece of advice friends..................
None

Hello everyone I was preparing list of courses for counselling and after talking to many students and teachers I have produced the following list

 Course : IIT

 1 : CS :  kanpur

2 : CS : delhi

3 : electrical : kanpur

4 : electrical : delhi

5 : mech : kanpur

6 : mech : delhi...........(I am not taking any other IIT for personal reason)

Tell me if u consider any suggestion or if you want to add some courses of which I have littel knowledge.

Another qs is that since there is very little scope that I will get the pass certificate of class 12 before 13th june so will the marksheet work

see ..open the second last page of counselling brochure ..its the undertaking form ..all those with certificate problems ..they have to give that form ....then ur time is extended to september 30 ..i mean..befeore the sem begins .a large fraction of ppl give that...becuase of the delay in getting their certificates from state boards and all ...i gave that too ..chill  !!

it says " To be given by a candidate whose qualifying exam result is awaitedand hence provisionally admitted. "

Dude, you can easily take a transfer to a branch with lower closing rank than your branch.

If you take CS now , you can drop to mech after 1 year if you feel that mech is the branch for you.

The first year course is common for all branches. So, dont worry about adjusting after a change.

However, going from mech to CS will be almost impossible(you have to be in the top 2-3 students of the coll(branch change(upgrade) is very difficult at IIT B,D,K)

However, one should pursue what he is interested in . Dont worry about mech.It has and will always be one of the top branches with a lot of scope.

In IIT Madras it works like that. (i.e. sliding rom higher cutoff branch to lower cutoff branch is allowed)Just consult an IIT D senior to make sure that IITD also has a similar system before you fill your form.
