What is terminal potential difference. Explain

the potential between the two terminals of a source is called terminal potential difference. it is not equal to EMF of source, because of internal resistance.

Electromotive force is the potential difference which exist across the two terminals of a battery when no current is being drawn. Terminal potential difference of a cell is the potential difference which exist across the terminals of the cell in a closed circuit.
