With an IIT AIR 5949 & AIEEE AIR Rank of 5211(State Rank 549 ) , Which should I opt IIT Or AIEEE? A

Since your ranks in IIT JEE and AIEEE are similar I suggest you opt for IIT.In your counselling you should also fill in IT-BHU and the new IIT s,you may also fill in Dual Degrees in Roorkee,Kharagpur and Guwahati.However if branch is important to you,you should opt for NIT through AIEEE.

If you are specifically interested in a branch then you may opt for NITs as you chance of getting it there. Else you should go for JEE, you can get mining courses in Dhanbad and even dual ceramics in BHU.
