Computer Science or Electronics and Communication
Engineering Entrance , JEE Main , JEE Advanced

In today's world which one is more demanding. When it comes to the subject matter what should one keep in mind before choosing the two branches.

Please reply. i heard that Electronics should be taken by those who are good at maths and Physics. What about CS?

hey

Yaar the mathsa and the physics that we study are not of gr8 help in future .. we study new things where these concepts have little importance ..

so, u can be assured in that sense .. watever subject u take .. u will need something new ..

Now in my opinion one shud go for the comp sc only as that is the best available option in the world today , in my opinion ..

The opportunities in these branches are enormous , and u shud get a bright future ahead

cheers

Computer Science requires logical reasoning and analytical mind, definitely not the kind of comp sci we have been studying in school. You are exposed to comp architecture, operating systems, database management systems, neural networks, artificial intelligence and more.

Electronic and Communication Engineering definitely is more demanding and requires good grasp of physics and maths, and involves developing semiconductors, photonics, x-ray and radiation detection and analysis, fourier analysis etc etc...

In terms of placements Computers is definitely the best choice, but ECE is good also...

Cheers

Well I'am not really too interested in going for placements immediately after BE.I would love to do my Masters in some reputed university of US. So with that in mind should I go for CS?
