i hav got mathematics and computing at dhanbad (5yrs integrated)
and 228 rank in dce
can u please tell me what should I go for
i got 315 score in bits but not interested as my parents won't be able to afford it

I would suggest you to go to DCE
M&C at Dhanbad is good but the first INTEGRATED batch of M&C is to pass out by 2010. Although only Msc programs(Not throug JEE) have passed out.
IF placements are your CUP OF TEA then I can surely say that DCE will give you much better options.
Having said that the placement scenario may change sooner as it is a very booming branch.
If you have more queries, feel free to ask.
AND about the BITs thing!!...........EDUCATION LOANS are everywhere yaar. You will be paying it. So why worrying about that?

BITS is pretty affordable.Its about 30% costlier than the IITs .
Look , if your parents income is like below 3 lpa , you'll get a 50% off just for being above avg CGPA!!
I'd insist you try to pitch for some funds and try for BITS too.I assure you its worth it.
Apart from BITS you might want to go for DCE.Your rank is great , you'll get something good at NSIT.

i strongly recommend u to join ISM dhanbad ...... its highest packages are greater than DCE or NSIT ... and u also have the advantage of getting an institute which is got thru the JEE
so no doubt ISM dhanbad !

I will suggest you to go to ISM. It is thru JEE and then you have a great branch. So go for it.

Clearing JEE doesnt mean you have to take any branch offerred, go for NSIT COE, at this rank you will get it, why are you even thinking about DCE COE ?

ismu dhanbad or dce
please can i hav some more views
as i hav seen from the site of dhanbad
their placements for msc in mathematics and computing is very low
till now in 2008 batch only 13 students hav got placed from 23

go for nsit coe..no point going for ism..........anyways what was ur rank..........................................mine was 6280 and in dce 283........................and bits is affordable.......u might give it a try by taking some loan and having a waver of fees at bits.........but at 315 bits doesnt offer u much feasible option other then chemical.............at pilani.........even i got 320.....chemical is also veru\y gud...but cs is going hot now a days....
